Even established names like mine have to adapt to unforeseen circumstances in an ever-evolving market. This week was significant as it marked a shift in how I manage the Mike Horne brand, primarily driven by a sudden supplier fee hike. This event catalyzed my decision to consolidate all my marketing efforts under a unified company. Now, a single marketing company handles my multi-platform outreach, including TikTok, Meta, X, YouTube, and podcast production. This consolidation aims to streamline operations and bring coherence to my brand's communication strategy. Thankfully, for everyone, it's all me here on the LinkedIn platform! There is no outsourcing here.

Adopting the StoryBrand Approach

One of the crucial changes in this transition is adopting the StoryBrand approach to market my services. StoryBrand is a marketing framework aimed at helping businesses clarify their messaging by positioning their customers as the heroes while the brand serves as the guide. I aim to enhance my connection with my audience by applying this strategy. My services, which include 1:1 executive coaching, leadership development programs, and OD interventions, will all benefit from this customer-centric narrative. The decision to adopt this approach did not come lightly; it involved an extensive review and understanding of how it could best serve my brand and audience.

Preparing for a New Book Launch

I'm also focused on my upcoming book launch, The People Dividend: Leadership Strategies for Unlocking Potential, amid these marketing strategy shifts. We are in the final stages of preparing a pre-sale site on Amazon, which should go live next week. I'm actively recruiting a robust launch team for the book's initial buzz and sustained interest. I am optimistic about the outcomes. Additionally, I am considering creating a brief video promoting a friend's new book, leveraging LinkedIn for its distribution. This platform has been instrumental in reaching a broader audience and showcasing content that resonates with my followers.

Guest Appearances and New Episodes

Recent guest appearances on my podcast, The People Dividend Podcast, have been a significant highlight, adding substantial value to my audience. Looking ahead, the podcast will feature more insightful guests, like guests in Organization Development. Their participation is anticipated to add depth and diversity to the content, catering to our audience's varied interests. Their insights and experiences will undoubtedly enrich our collective understanding and learning experience.

Personal Updates and Well-Wishes

On a more personal note, my wife's recovery from her hip replacement surgery continues to progress. The well-wishes from friends and colleagues have been incredibly uplifting for both Cathy and me. Such support highlights the camaraderie within our professional network. Despite the professional whirlwind, moments like these remind us of the importance of personal connections and well-being.

As we navigate these changes, I am committed to ensuring that all aspects of my brand resonate deeply with my audience. The journey forward looks promising, Whether through refined marketing strategies, engaging content, or personal touchpoints.
